CASSAVA PONE 

3 cups dry farine
1 ½ cups sugar
½ tsp nutmeg
1 large coconut, grated
1 ½ cups milk
rind of ½ orange
2 oz lard, melted
½ tsp mixed spice
1 tsp vanilla essence 
2 eggs beaten

Ingredients:

Mix all dry ingredients together.

  Add the margarine and lard melted together.

  Add the eggs, vanilla essence and milk. 

Beat well together. 

Put into a well-greased oven pan. 

Bake in a moderate oven for 1½ hours. 

Glaze with sugar and water and cut into squares.
