The Atlantic Fun Drive is an exciting experience of being driven on an all
terrain vehicle (ATV) along the picturesque northeast Atlantic coast of St.
Lucia.

This adventure provides the unique experience of being driven through rough
terrain on tracks, thoroughly tested to ensure the safety of our clients.
Our clients are briefed by our experienced and very capable tour guides and
drivers. Allan and Frankie are most willing to help you enjoy this roller
coaster ride which begins from Cap Estate. You will be taken through a path of
dense foliage on either side, giving the feeling that you are in deep forest. As
you continue driving along you will take in the natural aroma of the lush
vegetation. The scenery which unfolds along the way is unbelievable.

From the dense foliage, you will emerge on the top of the mountain which
overlooks the “Cactus Valley” – vast grasslands with the rough surfs of the
Atlantic Ocean serving as a backdrop. There is a short stop so that passengers
can capture this breathtaking scenery on camera.

The journey continues into the vast grasslands of the “Cactus Valley” cultivated
with various species of cacti. The ride continues to the cliffs overlooking
“Donkey Beach”. The name “Donkey Beach” derives from the large number of wild
donkeys that used to roam the area. From this viewpoint, you can appreciate the
scenic rigidity of the coastline while taking in the healthy tropical breeze of
the Atlantic.

The drive continues up to “La Scorciere”, the rounded mountain. This mountain is
reminiscent of Kilmanjaro, replete with history. It was called Mabouya by the
Amerindians after an evil deity and the French called “Sorcerer” – the devil.
As you get to the gentle slope at the top of La Sociere, one can see the island
of Martinique on the horizon. You can also scan your sights inland to the peak
of Mount Gimmie (3, 145 sq. ft.). Mount Gimmie, St. Lucia’s tallest mountain can
be seen in the far distance.

As a part of the tour, you will be invited to walk down the gentle slopes of the
mountain to get a closer look at nature in action. You will see the effects of
the rough waves from the Atlantic Ocean and its eroding effects on the
coastline. The powerful erosive action of these waves have resulted in huge
platforms made from solid rock along the coastline.
Also you can take a closer look at what was once the bottom of the ocean –
seashells and other fossils of sea life will provide the evidence.
The tour continues along bushy tracks down to one of the few safe beaches on the
Atlantic coast – “Cas en Bas”. This sheltered bay with its calm waters and white
sandy beach is very popular with locals on weekends. The stop at Cas en Bas
beach affords you the experience of going for a swim, just walking along the
beach or simply relaxing.
