St. Lucia, "the Helen of the West Indies", is located in the Windward islands, 14 degrees Latitude, 61 degrees Longitude, beside the Caribbean Sea. It boasts numerous beautiful sandy beaches along the coast with lush vaulting forests in the interior. A subtropical climate, with an average high of 87 F and a low of 77 F, ensures year round sunshine with some extra rain during the rainy season from June to October. It's 238 square miles makes it the second largest, with Dominica first, of the Windwards.
