Mission Statement

  CHANGES........

Hi everyone, remember me? It’s been a long time and some of you rightfully wrote me to say “Change the message already!”

Well, I made it in time for the New Year, and CHANGE is what’s on my mind. I guess this is a time to think about change, with everyone making resolutions that will probably be forgotten or broken within months. Don’t let that dishearten you, but wouldn’t it be great if we could keep that ‘end of year’ enthusiasm all through the next year?

The other thing about change is dealing with it. Most times we have to get used to the changes we decide to make, and sometimes it’s not easy even when we know it’s for the best. We question ourselves and take to heart the reactions of others. It can be enough to throw us back into the “norm”, but it’s important to hold steady – especially if you know in your heart that your change is a good one.

For my change, I made a decision to live outside the box. People who know me, know me as a homebody – I won’t call myself boring – but let’s just say that I got so used to being at home when my daughter was very young, it suddenly became my “place”. I had little interest in socialising and even felt awkward when I did go out. Now I make a bigger effort to hang out with friends and just have some fun.

Now, as anything else, change has to be taken with a bit of salt so that we stay as close to “balance” as possible. Example, if you’re used to dressing dowdy and decide to make a change, turning up in a ridiculously skimpy outfit will just throw you way on the other end. There’s always a middle ground – the trick is to find it and not stray too far away from it.

I have a lot to be grateful for, as do you I’m sure. Give thanks for your blessings and let’s each help someone find a reason to be grateful and to have hope.

Happy New Year to You all, and if you do make changes, may they help you to be the best of you in the coming Year…

God Bless
Natalie

End note: I don’t believe in doing things half way, and of late, the time I have to dedicate to the site has gotten even smaller. I’m not sure how much longer I can maintain it, but I’m hanging in there for now.
Also, my PC went bust some weeks ago, and I lost ALL the mail prior to November 24th. This is the second time that this has happened since we started up the site, and it’s a setback, because all my contact info wipes out too.
So, here we go again…

Ps. Please check out the “Soul to You” meditations by Wanda, and the "Good Stuff" poem.
